Sleeping Habbits

If we were graded on how we sleep I would have an 'F' I am dysfunctional when it comes to sleeping. Here is how my normal night goes:
- Gets the bed ready for Derek and myself. No, I don't make the bed in the morning, I seriously make the bed in the evening right before we climb in it...
- Take off my glasses, shut off the light, and THEN set the alarm.
- Snuggle with Derek until he starts falling asleep. Yes, he starts falling asleep within 2 minutes.
- Push Derek to his side of the bed, he is the worst person to share a bed with lol
- Then I do what I call 'fidgeting' I get almost comfy but then 'this part' isn't comfy and then 'this part' Honestly, I 'fidget' for atleast 20 minutes but sometimes it can be up to an hour or more.
- Once I'm done moving then the battle with my brain starts. Stop thinking, stop thinking, STOP THINKING!!!! The funny part is when I think about what I want to blog about!
- Also, I can only fall asleep on my stomach. If I fall asleep on my back I either snore myself awake or I have overly vivid dreams and I try to move (ex: try to walk in my dream) and I wake up.  If I try to sleep on my side I always wake up with neck and/or back pain.
- So when I do finally drift off it is a struggle to stay asleep, because I am a very light sleeper. It doesnt really bother me because I usually only wake up if: 1) I hear a noise I don't recognize 2) I hear something make a noise that I know shouldn't make a noise 3) If the noise is too loud. However, my other 'wake me ups' are: 1) when 'someone' pulls the blanket off of me and I wake up because I am cold 2) when 'someone' moves and knees or elbows me 3) when 'someone' moves and throws his pillow on my face
- I almost always wake up multiple times a night due to the above issues. So, it's a pretty restless night
- Then, in the morning I usually wake up just before the alarm goes off, but then usually start drifting back to sleep....then the alarm actually goes off. Or I wake up before the alarm goes off and panic thinking I didn't set the alarm normally and freak out thinking I over slept.
- To start the morning I fight with 'someone' to get him awake and out of bed. This can sometimes take up to 30 minutes!!!
- I also wake up remembering a ton of info about my dreams. It's weird how much I remember, maybe I should start writing my dreams down.

So do you have any 'odd' sleeping habbits/issues?

Oh today!

I have had a long, interesting day. It has involved: -disagreements with my boss -a moody co-worker -not enough workers scheduled -eating unhealthy -forgetting to call about a payment error -forgetting to make an appointment -a kind of agreement with my boss -more unhealthy eating -grocery shopping -sore feet But then: -Irish cream in coffee -relaxing shower -texting some cool people -a bit more Irish cream in coffee -chilling with the love of my life! One thought I've had a couple times today is that I remember being in high school thinking that I couldn't wait until I got done with school so all I would have to do is work and earn money. I actually thought that it would be easier/more enjoyable to work then to be in school. Oh was I silly! I am glad that I have a decent amount of time this week to just focus on my home and work on organizing it better. Yes, I very very much enjoy cleaning and organizing mine and Derek's home. I would much rather take care of the house all day than have to work, but we need money so I do what I can to bring home the bacon! Lol Also, feel free to suggest topics to me. If you want to hear my opinion on anything let me know and I'll write a blog about it!

Body Drama

Being a woman means I have a lot of opinions about my body and body image. I will probably be making many posts about body image, but I will start with this:

Weight

The majority of women are not happy with their weight and I am no exception. The important thing is that all women should feel happy with themselves. Now, don't get me wrong, I still think that if you are at an unhealthy weight you should do your best to change that. I just mean that no one should self-hate because nothing productive comes out of it.

What actually sparked the idea to write this post was:
I came home from work and went to the bathroom to change out of my work clothes. I paused to look at myself in the mirror, turned sideways, and got a little frustrated. I am currently on "that time of the month" so I am a bit bloated, plus I know that I weigh a few pounds more than I should. Looking in the mirror all I could think is "I could pass as being 3-4 months pregnant" I know for a fact that I am not the only girl that has felt that her extra weight makes her look preganant. The thing that I don't get is why we should even have these thoughts in our head? I have even heard a lady in her late 60s say "I can't wear that because it makes me look pregnant"
Does everyone realize that if we just stop asking people "are you pregnant" we wouldn't have to worry about looking pregnant. I think that from now on you should never ask someone "are you pregnant" unless they are about to pop and shopping for baby clothes. Then, instead of asking "are you pregnant" just say "congrats! when are you due?"

Another thing, why is it okay for a guy to be over weight? When a guy is over weight he's not "fat" he is just "husky" or "a big guy" I am guilty of saying "I like big guys" but you never hear anyone say "i like fat guys" However, if someone where to say "I like you because I like big girls" most girls would take that offensively. Media tells females what size they should be and not that we should love our body every and any size. We all need to shift our focus to being size healthy.

As always, comments and questions are welcomed.

Tattoo Questions

With this post all I am looking for is some opinions about:

1) If having a tattoo on certain spots of your body stands a chance of you getting a great job then is it worth getting inked there? Strictly talking about the tattoo being visable, not about what the tattoo may or may not be. Now I do know that it is 100% illegal to discriminate based on a persons looks, but you know it happens.

2) Is it odd to get a tattoo to symbolize your children on you? like their names, initials, birthstone colors, and/or birth stone colors? Or does it all come down to what you get, how big the tattoo is, and where?

3) Am I the only one that doesnt understand the point of getting a tattoo on a spot that you can't see it without using a mirror? Example: I like the idea of a tattoo on the back of my neck bc I could pull my hair up and have it showing, or I could easily cover it with my hair. However I would not be able to see my own tattoo without using a mirror.

That's basically it for now, but if I think of any more questions I'll post them also. Oh, and give it a bit of time and there will be a post on here about my future ink!!!
